Why Japan Pressed Vinyl?

Japanese vinyl records are known worldwide for their sound quality and durability. Mastering by Japanese engineers provides a richer, more detailed sound experience. In addition, the high value and well-preserved collections in Japan make it possible to find records in excellent condition. The inclusion of the obi (information strip on the side of the cover) and additional content also make Japanese vinyl records special for collectors.

What is Obi and Insert?

An obi is a colored strip or label that usually contains information in Japanese and comes with the album cover on Japanese-pressed records. It is a detail that indicates that it is exclusive to Japan. An insert is a booklet or additional informational material that comes with a record. It may contain lyrics, album information, or special content about the artist. The obi and insert add to the originality and collectibility of a record.
